Mawarid Mining is a privately owned subsidiary of the MB Holdings Group, based in Muscat, Oman. Between 2000 and 2014, Mawarid identified and developed numerous copper-gold ore deposits in Block 1, Hatta, Hatta South, Hatta Extended, Shinas and Mandoos.
Mawarid commissioned SRK to prepare a feasibility study update to assess the technical and economic feasibility of developing the Ghuzayn 3 copper deposit to process ore at the Lasail concentrator and sell a copper-rich concentrate to be shipped to export markets.
SRK considered that the feasibility study update confirmed the technical and economic feasibility of the Ghuzayn 3 Copper Project. SRK did not identify any fatal flaws in the current technical aspects of the Project.
